Following the violent riots in Bangladesh after the exit of former PM Sheikh Hasina who fled the country, several complaints and counter complaints have been making the rounds on social media. One such video is being shared with a claim that the BBC has failed to cover the violence against the Hindus in Bangladesh.
I have just gone over to the BBC News’ website to fact check to see if the violence against the Hindus in Bangladesh was being covered.

Since it involves the BBC, a global media outlet with a wide coverage record in South Asia, Digiteye India quickly checked for the coverage of Bangladesh violence by the BBC. Our simple search on Google and Youtube pointed out the following results. Here’s an article on BBC published on August 7, 2024 that precedes the day the claim was shared on social media.
It clearly gives the version of a correspondent on attacks on Hindus in Bangladesh. Secondly, another story, a reality check of attacks on Hindus was carried by BBC as accessed here:

Hence, the claim that the BBC never covered the attacks on Hindus in Bangladesh is misleading.
