CODE OF PRINCIPLES

Digiteye India (www.digiteye.in) is committed to adhere to the highest standards of journalistic ethics in order to bring to our readers the facts as they are and dissuade them from believing everything that is digitally given to them via social media or online news platforms. A fact is always sacrosanct and its validity should be there forever. Here is our Code of Principles:

1.  OUR COMMITMENT TO NONPARTISANSHIP AND FAIRNESS

Digiteye India (www.digiteye.in) is an independent digital news platform managed by veteran journalists with experience in Reuters and global news organisation. We are committed to ensure non-partisanship on the part of all our journalists and require them strictly not to be affiliated to any political party or any advocacy group.

All members and editorial staff of the Softmediahub LLP with its fact-checking editions — https://Digiteye.in and its regional language editions — https://eedinijam.com (Telugu) and http://vasthavamenthu (Malayalam edition) are precluded from donating to, or participating in, political campaigns, political party activities, or political advocacy organizations.

Our readers are encouraged to cross-check the facts and give feed back on our transparent procedure and methodology. We are open to make corrections whenever we are proved wrong. Any editorial staff member can be reached via e-mail through the Contact/Leave Reply links that appear on every page of the site.

2. OUR COMMITMENT TO TRANSPARENCY OF SOURCES:

Digiteye India verifies all the claims with equal vigor and enables readers to verify findings themselves. It provides all the details, links to original sources and even carries image-based verifiable facts. These can be replicated in order to verify the facts given by us or even refute them. Further, we follow a fair and transparent news presentation in keeping with the norms of journalism. Digiteye India follows a strict and standardized methodology for every fact check, without any bias.

To ensure that every fact is supported by hard and empirical evidence, each story goes through several eyes from the sub-editor to senior Sub-editor to the news editor. The entire team keeps an eye on all the stories put out to avoid the risk of any individual point of view finding its place in the story. Once proved wrong, we do not hesitate to rectify and make it part of our corrections policy.
