CODE OF PRINCIPLES

Digiteye India (www.digiteye.in) is committed to adhere to the highest standards of media ethics in order to bring to our readers the facts as they are and dissuade them from believing everything that is digitally given to them via social media or other online platforms. A fact is always sacrosanct and its validity should be there forever. Here is our Code of Principles:

1.  OUR COMMITMENT TO NONPARTISANSHIP AND FAIRNESS

Digiteye India (www.digiteye.in) is an independent digital platform managed by veteran media professionals with experience in Reuters and other large media organisations. Every fact-check goes through several checks and vetted to avoid the risk of any individual point of view finding its place in the story. Team members are not allowed to affiliate with any political party or advocacy organisation to avoid any potential conflict of interest.

We are committed to ensure non-partisanship on the part of all our staff and require them strictly not to be affiliated to any political party or any advocacy group to avoid any potential conflict of interest.

All members and staff of the Digiteye India are precluded from donating to, or participating in, political campaigns, political party activities, or political advocacy organizations. They are barred from campaigning for any political party, soliciting employees to cast or not to cast vote at the time of any elections, wearing badges, buttons, or attire which communicates any form of political views sharing of political literature in print, digital or any other form, use of company equipment for printing, copying or communicating political literature or views in any form, attending protests or forcing people to protest for or against a political cause. Our staff members are  required to sign a Non-Partisanship Agreement at the time of joining the company. See the Copy of NPA here.

Our readers are encouraged to cross-check the facts and give feed back on our transparent procedure and methodology. We are open to make corrections whenever we are proved wrong. Any editorial staff member can be reached via e-mail through the Contact/Leave Reply links that appear on every page of the site.

2. OUR COMMITMENT TO TRANSPARENCY OF SOURCES:

Digiteye India verifies all the claims with equal vigor and enables readers to verify findings themselves. It provides all the details, links to original sources and even carries image-based verifiable facts. These can be replicated in order to verify the facts given by us or even refute them. Further, we follow a fair and transparent presentation in keeping with the norms of media ethics. Digiteye India follows a strict and standardized methodology for every fact check, without any bias.

To ensure that every fact is supported by hard and empirical evidence, each story goes through several eyes from the fact-checker to Editor. The entire team keeps an eye on all the stories put out to avoid the risk of any individual point of view finding its place in the story. Once proved wrong, we do not hesitate to rectify and make it part of our corrections policy.
