However, we did not come across any credible reports or evidence which confirms such a change. Marvel’s official movie page for Avengers: Doomsday clearly states the release date as December 18, 2026.
Next, we checked the official trailer of Avengers : Doomsday that was uploaded to Youtube on 20 July, 2026. The title of the trailer and the description of the video explicitly states that the release date is on 18 December, 2026. At the 2:16 mark of the video, the visuals display the text “12.18.26 is Doomsday,” referring to the movie’s release date.
Recently, the movie’s poster has gone viral in Asia, uploaded by Disney Korea which showcases the release date as 16 December 2026. A TOI article writes about the same poster going viral in China, stating that the movie eyes a box office haul of USD 360 million in the country, hitting the Chinese theaters on December 16, 2 days ahead of its December 18 release in the U.S.. Whether referring to an early release on 16 December 2026 or the global release on 18 December 2026, neither date indicates a postponement of three months, as claimed.
