FACT CHECK
DigitEYE India decided to investigate this claim and found it to be false. The video is AI-generated, and there is no evidence that the depicted incident actually happened. No authentic footage or credible reports confirm any robot escaping from a hospital or being pursued by police.

We first conducted a reverse image search using several keyframes from the video to trace its origin. However, the results led primarily to reposts shared for entertainment or parody. We found no coverage from media outlets or other credible sources. Some users explicitly identified the video as AI-generated and shared it with the hashtag #AI. One such post is shown below –
Following this, we downloaded both the videos mentioned in the respective claimed posts and ran it through an AI detector. The result using Hive Moderation’s AI detector proved that nearly 50% of the video was generated using AI and some sections revealed 62% AI use. View the results below –

The company explains that medical robots “support healthcare workers and enhance patient care,” while autonomous mobile robots help with “disinfection, telepresence, and delivery of medication and medical supplies. However, there are no verified reports of autonomous medical-resident robots, or any “runaway” events matching the video.
