We first conducted a web search with the phrase “Jhanvi Kapoor post on supporting Bangladeshi Hindus” to learn about the claim. On December 25, 2025, she shared an Instagram Story condemning the lynching of Dipu Chandra Das, a 30-year-old Hindu garment worker in Bangladesh’s Mymensingh district. As per a report by NDTV, she described it as “barbaric” and urged action against such violence regardless of location. View the screenshot of her post taken from the report below –

Dhruv Rathee uploaded the video, “The FAKE Beauty of Bollywood Celebrities!” on YouTube on December 25, 2025, running approximately 26 minutes and criticising cosmetic procedures’ societal impact. Following this, we checked the video’s thumbnail which prominently displays before-and-after images of Kapoor to illustrate plastic surgery effects. On 26 December, 2025, Dhruv Rathee in an X post defended himself, stating that it takes a lot of time to make a video like that. Moreover, he himself previously made content supporting Dipu Chandra Das and at no point did he specifically attack Jhanvi Kapoor.
Let’s ignore the fact that it takes days to make a video like that.
Let’s also ignore the fact that I myself made a video in support of Dipu Chandra Das
The funny thing is where did I even “attack” Jahnvi specifically in that video? Nowhere.

On December 27, 2025, Rathee once again defended his video, reiterating that the video is on that it was not possible to research, edit, and publish the video on the same day Jhanvi Kapoor’s post about “Dipu Chandra Das” on Instagram.
Addressing allegations about changing the thumbnail after Jhanvi Kapoor’s post, he stated that changing or having multiple thumbnails is part of an A/B testing strategy, something he said he has done with his previous videos as well. Rathee further claimed that the accusations were aimed at brainwashing viewers and affirmed no intent to mock her for the Bangladesh post and mentions about his own prior content on similar issues.
Did I mock Janhvi Kapoor for her post on Bangladeshi Hindus?
