The post gained around 226,000 views and can be seen below:

FACT CHECK

DigitEYE India decided to investigate this claim and found that it is false. The video showcases live-fire training drills conducted by the PLA 78th Group Army of China from November 2025. This has no connection to Arunachal Pradesh and has been debunked by official government sources.

Details:

We first conducted a web search with the phrase “China increases military build up near Arunachal Pradesh” to learn about the claim. Searches across various news outlets yield no credible reports of a sudden “massive” military deployment near Arunachal Pradesh.

Next, we conducted a reverse image search of the footage in the claim that is watermarked by CGTN. The search took us to the complete video uploaded by ‘CGTN Europe’ on 13th November 2025 which is titled: “PLA ground force conducts live-fire drills featuring high tech drones, robotic dogs.” View a screenshot of this below:

Chinese PLA 78th Group Army recently participated in a live-force confrontational drill at a field training ground. The drill proceeded with new combat tactics featuring close coordination of manned and unmanned high-tech equipment including long-endurance drones and robotic dogs. More information on PLA 78th Group Army can be found here.

Upon checking for any Indian government responses on this claim, we found that the Press Information Bureau’s fact check unit has debunked this claim in a post on X. The post mentions that the video shows “a military exercise conducted by a brigade of the PLA’s 78th Group Army, which is part of the Northern Theatre Command, headquartered in Harbin, Heilongjiang Province.”

Therefore, this is not related to any sort of China’s military buildup near Arunachal Pradesh.

Thus, the claim is Misrepresentation.
