Claim : Viral video claims to show Bangladeshis rushing home from West Bengal after SIR Order.
Conclusion : The claim is Misrepresentation. None of these people shown in videos have any sort of luggage with them. In fact, the video is part of the Durga Pooja where Milan mela is held every year on the India-Bangladesh border allowing visitors on either side after registering their names.

Several users have shared a clip which claims to show illegal Bangladeshis returning from West Bengal after SIR order. Verified X user ‘AsiaWarZone’ shared such a clip with the caption: “Rush of Bangladeshis going back to Bangladesh after SIR ordered in West Bengal.”
The post is supported by a 52-second video showing a large crowd near barbed wire fencing in what seems to be a border area. The post gained around 149,000 views and over 9,400 likes. Check it out below:

FACT CHECK
DigitEYE India decided to investigate this claim and found that it is misleading. The claim doesn’t add up in the video, as people have no luggage and are seen smiling which otherwise should be a tensed situation. Unlike the previous reports of Bangladeshi immigrants fleeing West Bengal, this clip seems to be from Milan Mela, a fair when visitors from Bangladesh are allowed entry into a limited area of India.
We first began by conducting a reverse image search of various keyframes from the video. This video has been circulated too many times with no credible proof or evidence to support the claim.
Following this, we conducted a web search with the keyword ‘Bangladeshi immigrants rushing back amid SIR in West Bengal’ to learn about the claim. There have been recent reports from Doordarshan News DD showing the real visuals of some Bangladeshis returning home after SIR announcement, as seen below:

Furthermore, the report consists of a video showcasing “300 Bangladeshi nationals waiting near the border,” all of whom have some kind of luggage and look distressed. View the clip below:

We learned that the claimed video clip was from the Milan Mela fair, an annual cultural event held along the India-Bangladesh border, primarily in West Bengal districts like Cooch Behar and Malda. The fair allows families separated by the 1947 Partition to meet briefly across the barbed wire fence.
As per an article published from The Telegraph from 2013, “A fair called Milan Mela is held on Navami and Dashami where people from both the countries meet.” and “During the festivities, visitors from Bangladesh are allowed entry into the Indian soil almost throughout the day.” View a section from the report below –
Thus, unlike the verified SIR-linked exodus videos, the claimed footage depicts relaxed crowds smiling and chatting without visible belongings or tension in their faces. The joyous dynamic does not depict a “rush” of deportees but certainly a different occasion (such as Milan Mela) that has been misattributed to illegal Bangladeshis returning after SIR.
