The text of Modi’s speech in the claim is as follows:
“Brothers/sisters, today I will tell you a real incident.
When pakistan suddenly attacked us,to be honest I was very scared.Never expected that pakistan suddenly attack us in this way and I just lost all my courage. When I called Amit shah, who himself hiding under blanket in his own basement said he is not well and mentally not in a position to give any reply. Then I thought of calling National security advisor Ajit Doval, he will definitely have some plan, then got to know that he is running away to Srilanka in a boat…I seek help from Foreign countries, Trump called and said Modiji I thought you are VishwaGuru but you turned out to be Panic Guru.”
The footage shared by the user also targets Home Minister Amit Shah and National Security Advisor Ajit Doval who were panicking after the attack.
FACT CHECK
DigitEYE India decided to investigate this claim and discovered that the footage was manipulated. The footage has a lot of inconsistencies such as incorrect pronunciation, tonality, rhythm and pitch issues.
The language used in the footage is not professional and claims about Amit Shah and Ajit Doval are absurd. For example, from the 1 minute mark onwards, the footage speaks about Ajit Doval running away to Sri Lanka which is false and absurd.
We checked the original footage from Sansad TV from 18:15 to 18:17 as shown in the video and it was indeed different. The original footage shows PM Modi partaking in the monsoon session of the parliament with special Discussion On India’s strong, successful and decisive ‘Operation Sindoor’ in response to terrrorist attack in Pahalgam. Here is an original footage from Sansad TV
Moreover, the voice and actions of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the video does not match in terms of expression. The pacing of the speech felt too oddly timed and the mouth movement did not sync naturally with the audio. Original video from Sansad TV is taken and Modi’s voice and face are digtally altered and made claim on social media the next day.
Thus, the claim is completely false and the audio has clearly been altered to create a false narrative. PM Narendra Modi did not say those things during the monsoon session of the parliament.
Hence the claim is false.
