Several social media users have claimed that Bollywood actor Salman Khan has been declared a terrorist and added to the “Fourth Schedule” of the Anti-Terrorism Act (ATA), 1997 of Pakistan, designating him a terrorism suspect. Verified X user ‘OsintUpdates’ shared such a claim alongside the footage of an event in Riyadh and a viral circular that has been going around. View the post below –

As seen in the clip, the whole controversy erupted when Salman Khan at Riyadh’s Joy Forum on October 17, 2025, appeared to distinguish “Balochistan” from “Pakistan.” The circular shared in the claim addresses Salman Khan as a “Azad Balochistan Facilitator” as seen above.
FACT CHECK
DigitEYE India decided to investigate this claim and found that it is false. Bollywood actor Salman Khan has not been added to any terrorist list by the Pakistan Government. Moreover, there has been an official confirmation by Pakistan’s Ministry of Information and Broadcasting that has ruled out such a claim.
Firstly, we conducted a web search with the phrase “Salman Khan Balochistan comments” to learn about the viral claim. In an extended clip shared by journalist Smita Prakash here, Salman Khan says – “See right now if you make a Hindi film and just release it here, it’ll be a super hit. If you make a Tamil film or a Telugu film or a Malayali film, they will do hundreds of crores of business ,…… because so many people from our countries have come here. There are people from Balochistan, there are people from Afghanistan, there are people from Pakistan. Everyone is working here.”
I don’t know if it was slip of tongue, but this is amazing! Salman Khan separates “people of Balochistan” from “people of Pakistan” .

Following this we examined the circular that had been shared in the claim and noticed some problems with it. The circular is dated October 16, 2025 which is a day before Salman Khan spoke at Riyadh’s Joy Forum alongside Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan that took place on October 17, 2025. Moreover, CNIC 52203000000 is a Pakistani national ID. Salman Khan, born in India, holds Indian citizenship and not Pakistani ID. View the image of the circular below –

We then searched for any official clarifications and came across a report published by the Hindustan Times. It mentions how Pakistan’s Ministry of Information and Broadcasting had released an official clarification on their X account. The post writes that there has been “No Pakistani government official statement, notification or entry” pertaining to this claim. View the screenshot below –

Thus, the claim is false.
