FACT CHECK

DigitEYE India decided to investigate this claim and found that it is false. The hotline 9851145045 is Nepal’s, not Indian PMO initiative. There has been no official confirmation by the PMO India office or claims about this hotline number.

We first conducted a web search with the phrase “PMO India hotline 9851145045” to learn more about the issue. There were no credible reports from any media outlet confirming that this hotline belonged to PMO India. Searches on the official PM India website yielded no references to a corruption-reporting hotline with the number 9851145045.

After conducting another websearch with solely the hotline number, we learned that this hotline originates from Nepal, not India.
