A social media post is making the rounds with an image showing a curved road in the midst of a huge landscape of trees. The claim on the image reads: “Deep forest way in Adilabad, Telangana.”
It has been shared here and here with a caption that states: “Beauty of nature, Adilabad, Telangana.” Further search revealed that it was shared earlier on October 16, 2023 as well as seen below:

FACT-CHECK
When received a request on WhatsApp, we checked for the image in Google Reverse Image Search. The results showed that the original image was from Australia and not Adilabad, Telangana.

The Kangaroo Island is in Australia and similar images of the road can be accessed here.

A simple search on Google revealed that it is called the Cape du Couedic Road on Kangaroo Island. It has also been captured by some vloggers and uploaded on Youtube here.
In fact, the closest image to the photo in the claim could be traced (below) to a national highway passing through Mavala in Adilabad district also called Haritha Haram or Garland of Forest.

But certainly this is not the same road as claimed in the social media post. Hence, the photo of Kangaroo Island’s road has been falsely claimed as that of Adilabad, Telanagana.
Claim: Image showing a curved road in forest claimed as one in Adilabad, Telangana.
Conclusion: Misrepresentation. The image is of Cape du Couedic Road on Kangaroo Island in Australia and it has been falsely claimed as that of Adilabad forest road in Telangana.
Rating: Misrepresentation —
