A short ANI video clip of Japanese Foreign Minister Yoshimasa Hayashi and Indian External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar expressing views on RRR is being shared on Youtube.
During the interview, an unnamed interviewer of the news agency suggests the visiting foreign minister of Japan the name of RRR hero Ram Charan, with a suggestion that both the ministers should take a step from the movie before finishing the interview, to which Jaishankar gracefully replied, “No, I’m not dancing.”

FACT CHECK
All Indians are familiar with the film RRR, in which both Ram Charan and Jr NT Rama Rao (popular as Jr NTR) acted and hit the headlines for the Oscar-winning song “Naatu, naatu”, hence, the conversation increased viewers’ enthusiasm further.
The Japanese minister Hayashi was unable to recollect the correct and full name of the actor but clearly said Rao and again repeated as Junior during the interview. He is seen further elaborating the fact that the hero looks similar to him. But the interviewer suggested Ram Charan’s name and the conversation continues in the video.
Here are the facts: Firstly, the minister referred to the person who looks bulky like him, and here’s the comparison of both Jr NTR and Ram Charan. The latter is lean compared to Jr NTR. See the pictures of both actors in the film.
Secondly, the minister referred to Rao and again repeated as Rao Junior, both hints sufficient to describe Jr NTR and not Ram Charan. The latter doesn’t have Rao surname. Jr NTR’s full name is Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao, Junior.
Though all hints were clearly pointing out at Junior NTR in the film and the song, the interviewer suggested the name of Ram Charan, instead and the conversation continues with the false impression that he was referring to Ram Charan in the film while the fact is that he was clearly referring to Jr NTR. Several news outlets reported the same on the following day.
Claim: Visiting Japanese Foreign Minister Yoshimasu Hayashi takes out the name of Ram Charan in the film RRR in his interview.
Conclusion: No, the minister clearly referred to Jr NTR, the other actor in the film RRR in his interview.
