Some images of eggs hanging from trees have been cisrculated on social media, with claims that they are white mangoes.
“White Mangoes found in some Africans land and the middle East and other parts of world,” reads the caption of a Facebook post.
The images were also shared on Twitter here. The claim reads: “Hey guys, have you seen or eaten the white mongo before??? What a beautiful God creations”.

FACT CHECK
When the images are checked for authenticity, our team realized that the Bing Image Creator was shown at the left bottom of these images.
A search on Microsoft search engine Bing revealed that these images were AI-created images using Bing Image Creator.

“There is clear glitching and warping of the objects in the image, with some merging with each other and others showing inconsistencies in shape,” independent adviser on Generative AI and deepfakes, Henry Ajder of Microsoft told Reuters. “The human subject’s hand also feature tell-tale signs of AI generation, with malformed and an irregular number of fingers,” Ajder noted.
Hence, these are AI-generated and not real.
