FACT CHECK
DigitEYE India decided to fact check this claim and discovered that it is totally false. The whole audio of the video footage is AI generated, a fake clip which was made from an original ANI footage on something else. Amit Shah did not criticize PM Narendra Modi nor did he comment on the loss of Rafale fighter jets and the S-400 system as claimed.
How we did it?
We first conducted a reverse image search of the keyframe and landed on the original tweet made by ANI on 18 September, 2025. The post was about Amit Shah praising PM Modi for removing article 370 and uniting Kashmir with India. View the post below:
#WATCH | Begusarai, Bihar: Union Home Minister Amit Shah says, “…By removing Article 370, PM Modi permanently united Kashmir with India. The Congress party had spoiled Pakistan’s habits. They would attack every day. We conducted surgical strike, air strike, and when they didn’t… pic.twitter.com/enHRU4QOZC

Following this, we came across Amit Shah’s official Youtube Channel where his speech was streamed live. He delivered this speech at Patna during the Begusarai BJP Karyakarta Meeting on 18th September, 2025. View the footage on his Youtube channel here.
Numerous media outlets have also covered this and did not mention any instance of HM Amit Shah criticizing PM Modi or speaking about S-400 systems or loss of Rafale fighter jets. View a snippet from a news article below:

We then searched for any official reports from credible media outlets about Amit Shah’s criticism against PM Modi. There were no reports or substantial evidence of these comments as shown in the fake footage of Amit Shah.
Moreover, the footage in the clip contains a lot of discrepancies such as unnatural lip sync and a rarity of Shah criticizing his own party member, let alone the PM. Thus, the claim is completely false and baseless.
