MTV has released an official clarification to debunk these rumours.
We conducted a web search with the phrase ‘MTV India shuts down’ to learn about the claim. A report by Global Music Vibe reported that Paramount Global confirmed the closure of the five specified music channels on October 10, 2025. The five channels which will be shut down are MTV Music, MTV 80s, MTV 90s, Club MTV, and MTV Live beginning in the UK and Ireland from December 31, 2025. View a section from the report below –
