Claim: The Netherlands has released a commemorative stamp to mark 100 years of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS).
Conclusion: The claim is false. The Netherlands government did not release any official RSS commemorative stamp, it was a privately designed, custom order by HSS Nederland.

Several social media users have claimed that the Netherlands has released a commemorative stamp to mark 100 years of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). BJP’s verified X account posted such a claim with a part of the caption: “A significant gesture of international recognition for one of India’s most influential social organisations.” The post gained more than 21,000 views and can be seen below:

BJP IT cell head Amit Malviya also shared the same claim on X on October 10, 2025. The post included a graphic of two custom-designed stamps featuring RSS imagery, priced at €15.75 and €12.65, with details for ordering via email (hssnetherlands@gmail.com) and a Dutch bank account under “Stichting Hindu Swayamsevak Sangh.” View the post here.

FACT CHECK
DigitEYE India decided to investigate this claim and found that it is false. There is no proof or any announcemment from the Netherlands government about an official RSS commemorative stamp release. On the other hand, this was privately designed and done by the Hindu-Swayamsevak-Sangh.
We first conducted a web search with the phrases “Netherlands RSS stamp” to learn about the issue. Searches for announcements from the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs or PostNL’s official channels yielded no results on RSS stamps.
Following this, we came upon a report by Organiser which was published on October 10, 2025. The report explicitly states HSS NL “proudly launched on World Postal day a special commemorative postal stamp – a symbol of one hundred years of unity, discipline, and devotion to the world’s universal Dharma.” View a section from the report below –

Upon analyzing the image shared in the claim, the bank details in the flyer (“NL88INGB0000827495” under Stichting HSS) link directly to the HSS foundation, not a governmental entity. There is no sort of sovereign stamp issuance from the Dutch Government; rather everything is linked to HSS personal accounts.

View the zoomed in version of the image. The proof is in the image, where the HSS have given their personal email Id and their personal bank account details for their foundation. The Bank account name is ‘Stichting Hindu Swayamsevak Sangh’, this is available at the bottom of the image.
We further searched whether Netherlands postal services allow such personalized services or not. An article by Bicycle Philately that has traced the evolution of personalized stamps in the Netherlands writes how “it is possible to order personalized stamps printed by the Dutch Post… from May 2011 on PostNL…”

Since the Dutch postal service, PostNL, offers a public tool allowing anyone to design and order custom stamps by uploading personal images, the HSS also must have used this as its legal in Netherlands. Thus, the claim is false.
