Several social media users have shared a video which allegedly shows PM Narendra Modi talking about how Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu will destroy the Gulf countries. Verified X user ‘sulQAR’ shared such a post with the caption : “Indian Prime Minister admits that Benjamin Netanyahu told him that Israel plans to end the Gulf states. It’s clear that the target is not Iran or others ..” Attached to the post is a 50 second video clip of PM Narendra Modi speaking from a podium. View the post below –

In the video, PM Modi allegedly says (translated into English) : The world is watching. It seems like the world has forgotten about globalization and now Pakistan, Turkey and Saudi Arabia have become one. When I met PM Benjamin Netanyahu, I told him that Pakistan, Turkey and Saudi Arabia will become one. To my question, he replied that they will make the Gulf countries and Iran fight, eventually ending all of them. What I thought turned out to be correct and now they [the alliance] are wondering how they will come out of it. In times like these, if we had not upheld the spirit of a self-reliant India and stayed on the right path over the past 10 years, we would not have been able to tackle such a challenge today.
FACT CHECK
DigitEYE India decided to investigate this claim and found it to be false. The footage has been digitally altered, with the audio seemingly generated or modified using AI. Prime Minister Narendra Modi did not make the remarks attributed to him in the claimed video.
For context, the alliance being referenced between Pakistan, Turkey and Saudi Arabia is a new defence pact. Al Jazeera, in a report dated 11 August 2026, writes that the three countries signed the Mecca Joint Defence Agreement, which states that “an armed attack on any one of the three would be regarded as an attack on all.”
Details:
We first conducted a reverse image search on various keyframes of the video to learn about the source. The search results took us to a Youtube video by DWS News uploaded on 15 August, 2026, titled : “Full National Address: Modi Delivers Powerful Independence Day Speech From Historic Red Fort | AC1F” PM Narendra Modi can be seen wearing the same outfit and red turban with the flag pole behind him.
The description states that “Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi addresses the nation from the historic Red Fort in New Delhi on India’s Independence Day 2026.” DigitEYE India did not come across any of those words said in the claim. Throughout the video, PM Modi spoke about India’s economic and infrastructure growth, Saptadhara or seven strengths, youth empowerment, security issues and various other social reforms.
Another search result took us to a Youtube video published by HT India uploaded on 15 August, 2026. This video too features PM Modi’s address from the Red Fort on Independence day and does not contain any of the phrases said in the claim footage.
Upon searching for the official transcript of PM Modi’s speech, we found that PIB has released the full transcript. PM Modi did speak of Pakistan but not as a part of the alliance with Saudi Arabia and Turkey. Instead, he spoke about Operation Sindoor and how Pakistan is “still sleepless.” In another moment, he spoke about how Pakistan attacked India with various military technologies but India was able to withstand them all and retaliate.

Another news update published by PM India’s official website touched upon several points spoken by PM Narendra Modi in his speech.
Lastly, we searched for official clarification and landed on PIB’s X post that has debunked this claim. The post clearly states that the “video is fake and digitally altered…Prime Minister…did not make any such remarks during the address.”
