A video on social media is going viral claiming that Rajasthan voters woun’t vote for Congress after the recent communal violence in Karauli. FACT CHECK

When our team conducted a Google reverse image search, the original video surfaced and it actually belonged to a 2020 video. As a banner in the video shows “Berojgar Ekikrat Mahasangh”. The event was originally a demonstration organised by some unemployed youth at Sikar, Rajasthan in 2020. National Dunia on November 17, 2020 carried a report that the Rajasthan “Berojgar Ekikrat Mahasangh” had organised a demonstration against the state government on unemployment.

The protesters then pledged not to vote for the Congress party in the then-upcoming Civic polls and the Vidhan Sabha by-elections. Here’s the original video uploaded on the YouTube channel of the “Rajasthan Berojgar Chatrasangh” on November 17, 2020, with a title in Hindi:”Sikar – For the unemployed, this is the message of Upen Yadav from the Ram Lila Maidan”.

Hence, the current video shared now is totally false and not related to the recent violence in Karauli.
