CONFIRMED: Indian airspace was used by U.S. forces to strike Iran.
New Delhi’s quiet complicity now places it on the wrong side of history.

Shared here, these social media posts said, “CONFIRMED: Indian airspace was used by U.S. forces to strike Iran.
New Delhi’s quiet complicity now places it on the wrong side of history.” Since the claim used Iranian TV IRIB anchor Sahar Emami’s name in the X account, the claim has been shared widely.
FACT-CHECK
Owing to the nature of the claim, Digiteye India took it up for scrutiny and searched on Google News. the results showed that India’s official Press Information Bureau has debunked the claim as fake news, denying the claim that Indian air space was used in US strikes on Iran. In its post on X on Sunday, the PIB Fact Check unit labelled the assertion as “FAKE” and clarified, “Indian Airspace was NOT used by the United States during Operation Midnight Hammer.”

Secondly, India doesn’t come under the route taken by the US missiles during Operation Midnight Hammer as shown in the picture below by the Pentagon:
In a press briefing, US Joint Chiefs of Staff Chair Gen Dan Caine explained showing the above image about the route used by US aircraft across the Atlantic Ocean, which clearly excludes Indian airspace.
Thirdly, the post shared in the name of IRIB anchor Sahar Emami is misleading. She has posted a video on X.com to deny it and also stated that she never has an X account.
the real Sahar Emami: I do not have an account on X/Twitter!
The account below is a sick grifter using her image for personal gains by engagement farming and posting fake headlines, AI images, etc. Please report and block them.
Share Sahar’s video widely. https://t.co/U5HcUgItR1 pic.twitter.com/OBhZs0gWc3
