In fact, on May 8, 2024 (Wednesday), the Supreme Court bench said that it may pass an order on Friday May 10 on the question of granting an interim bail to Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, who had been arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in connection with the excise policy scam case on March 15, 2024.

When the case challenging Kejriwal’s arrest reached the Supreme Court, as per the news reports, the court had said: “We may grant or we may not grant. But we must be open to you as neither side should be taken by surprise.”
