DigitEYE India decided to investigate this claim and found it to be false. Although the footage is genuine, Selena Gomez shared it in January 2025 while expressing distress over ICE deportations during the Trump administration’s immigration crackdown. There is no reliable evidence linking the video to claims of Benny Blanco’s alleged infidelity or suggesting that it reflected problems in their marriage.

We first conducted a reverse image search on various keyframes of the video to learn more about the context. The search took us to a Youtube short uploaded by Sky News on 28 January, 2025, titled : “Selena Gomez in tears over deportations.” The description stated that “Selena Gomez posted an emotional video on her Instagram, breaking down in tears over Donald Trump’s deportation policies.”
Using the phrase “Selena Gomez cries over Trump’s deportation policies,” we conducted a web search for additional reports. According to a New York Post report published on January 27, 2025, “Selena Gomez posted — and then deleted — a video of herself crying on Monday.” The report features the same visuals seen in the footage used in the claim and states that Gomez later shared a follow-up Instagram Story reading, “Apparently it’s not ok to show empathy for people,” which she also deleted.
Another report by Fox News has also confirmed that Selena Gomez was crying over Trump’s deportation policies with no mention of any cheating scandal by Benny Blanco. The report also notes how Gomez “has spoken about illegal immigration before, and executive produced a Netflix documentary series about illegal immigrants called “Living Undocumented.” View the Fox News clip on Gomez crying over the deportations, along with the network’s commentary on the incident.
DigitEYE India did not find any credible reports of Benny Blanco cheating on Selena Gomez with a 22 year old OnlyFans model. According to a report by ¡HOLA! published on July 22, 2026, Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco appeared to be in a healthy relationship. The couple celebrated Gomez’s 34th birthday together in Italy with Blanco penned an Instagram post, calling her his “beautiful wife” and wrote, “I’ll carry u wherever u wanna go forever… happy birthday my love.”
