Jagannath Rath Yatra image passed off as crowds protesting Delhi CM Kejriwal’s arrest; Fact Check

An image showing a massive gathering of people on the road has been shared with a claim that it was showing the crowds protesting the arrest of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.

The Delhi chief minister and the chief of Aam Aadmi Party was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate on March 21, 2024, in the night and was placed under the custody of the agency. The Aam Aadmi Party has been protesting ever since. Several protests were held nation-wide on March 26, 2024. In this context, the following image with a claim has been shared on social media.

Another user twisted the claim and said the protests were against the Congress Party. The claim in Hindi reads after translation as: “This picture shows that the end of Congress is certain… People are on the streets against Congress’s sycophants. DELHI.”
