A tweet showing Indian cricketer Virat Kohli wearing a t-shirt with Bharat Jodo Yatra of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi is going viral. The claim reads:”भारतीय क्रिकेट टीम के कप्तान विराट कोहली #BharatJodoYatra में शामिल होने के लिए मध्यप्रदेश पहुंचे।”

FACT CHECK

Since Virat Kohli looks much younger, our team checked for the picture on Google reverse image search and found that the original photo of Virat Kohli wearing the plain white t-shirt was taken in 2016. The picture taken by photographer Rohan Shrestha, dated September 23, 2016 was uploaded on Instagram here.

Hence, the current image was morphed with the logo of Bharat Jodo Yatra with a wrong claim. Virat Kohli did not join Bharat Jodo Yatra as per the claim.

Claim: Indian cricketer Virat Kohli is joining Bharat Jodo Yatra.

Conclusion: False. Morphed image was used with the claim.
