FACT CHECK

DigitEYE India decided to investigate this claim and found that it was false. There are no credible reports or evidence to confirm that China has planned to approve Russia’s Free-Cancer vaccine and sign agreements. While both the countries are working together on personalized cancer treatment, there has been no such approval.

Details:

We first conducted a web search with the phrase “China approves Russia’s free cancer vaccine” to learn more. Searches for official statements yield no confirmation of China approving any Russian cancer vaccine. According to a report by Reuters published on June 26, 2024, China has cleared a breakthrough mRNA cancer therapy for human trials. CSPC’s SYS6020 is the “world’s first mRNA-LNP-based cell therapy product approved for clinical trials” and that it can “target and kill myeloma cells” with minimal side effects. There are no approvals with Russia documented, view a section from the report below –

Following this, we learned from a report that Russia is progressing on targeted cancer therapies, including an mRNA vaccine for melanoma (Neooncovac) which “could be cleared for human use as early as 2026.” A CEDMO report debunked rumours that Russia’s Enteromix is already a “cure for cancer” and ready for mass use. The report does not speak of any partnerships with China nor about any other country adopting it.

Lastly, on January 9, 2026, a report published by TV BRICS mentions how scientists from Moscow and China “have agreed to strengthen cooperation on personalised cancer treatments using cutting-edge cell technologies and genome editing” According to the report, the main focus of the talks were “developing personalised anti-cancer vaccines and applying innovative cell-based therapies in clinical practice.” No official statements mention joint vaccine production, approvals or revenue-sharing. The claim pertaining to $2.6 trillion “destruction” of U.S. plus European pharma lacks known figures of 2024 global pharmaceutical market at 1.8 trillion annually with projections for 2025 at 1.9 trillion as per a Fortune Business Insight report. Therefore, claims of $2.6 trillion collapse are mathematically inconsistent since it defies the actual market size.

Thus, the claim is false and there has been no approval by China.
