Several social media users have claimed that Rami, a vocalist from the YG entertainment girl band BABYMONSTER has left. Verified X user ‘thekpop2Of’ made such a post with the caption : “YG Ent. announces RAMI departure from BABYMONSTER. The group will continue with six members.” The post included two images—a seven-member BABYMONSTER group promotional photo and a solo close-up of Rami. The post gained more than 22,000 views and can be seen below –

Babymonster, also referred to as Baemon, is a South Korean girl group formed by YG Entertainment. The group is composed of seven members: Ruka, Pharita, Asa, Ahyeon, Rami, Rora, and Chiquita.

We first searched for any official announcement or statement released by YG Entertainment Group to confirm the news. YG’s official X account and BABYMONSTER’s account contain no posts in March 2026 mentioning about Rami’s departure or exit. There has been no credible reports by media outlets too regarding departure of Rami.
Following this, we learnt that Rami has been on health-related hiatus since May 2025. According to Koreaboo, on “May 9, 2025, it was announced that BABYMONSTER‘s Rami would go on hiatus to focus on her health.” Fans have speculated about the group’s and Rami’s future but there has been no confirmed departure or exit announcement. Next, we came across YG Entertainment’s official update about Rami’s health related issues back on May 9, 2025. The update noted how “RAMI has continued her activities while undergoing ongoing treatment and care…However, her condition has not significantly improved, and recently, medical professionals have advised that she suspend all activities” The update stressed on how her health was more important and that she has been advised to take ample amount of rest. With reference to six members, the official YG family website had posted a notice about their song ‘Hot Sauce’ which was launched on 1 July, 2025. This song featured only six members as YG stated “RAMI still needs ample time for recovery. As this decision prioritizes the artist’s health, we ask for your understanding,” The notice also emphasised on supporting her and BABYMONSTER’s activities through this period but nothing about Rami’s departure.
Lastly, searches for any recent song or album by BABYMONSTER took us to a Bandwagon article that outlined the 2026 plans. BABYMONSTER will release their third mini album CHOOM in early May 2026. Alongside this, they are set to launch their 2026 World Tour in June, expanding beyond North America to include South America, Europe, and Australia, marking their largest global tour yet. In all the updates, YG Entertainment has given plans about their activities and world tour 2026. Nowhere Rami’s departure was mentioned.
As of now ,there is no confirmation from YG Entertainment announcing Rami’s departure from BABYMONSTER band.
