DigitEYE India decided to investigate this claim and found it to be totally false. The viral footage is AI-generated and does not depict a real event. Tesla’s Optimus robot appeared at the TRON: Ares red carpet premiere in October 2025, there is no evidence that Elon Musk walked the red carpet with the robot and Cybertruck as shown in the viral 2026 video.

We first conducted a web search to verify whether Elon Musk had appeared with a humanoid robot at a red carpet event. However, our search did not uncover any credible news reports or evidence of a recent event where Elon Musk was seen doing so. We also performed reverse image searches on multiple keyframes from the viral video, but they too yielded no repots from credible media sources.
Following this, we came across a report by Teslarati published on October 7, 2026 about Tesla Optimus’ appearance at the TRON: ARES red carpet premiere. The report states that the event showcased AI technologies from Tesla, xAI, X and Disney, with Optimus even appearing to “pick a fight” with actor Jared Leto. The report quoted Monique Pintarelli, Head of Americas at X, who called this “a collision between the real world and AI.” View a screenshot from the report below –
Throughout the above report, Elon Musk is only mentioned in connection with his earlier social media post showcasing Optimus’ kung fu demonstration. There is no mention of him attending or walking the red carpet with the robot and Cybertruck. Moreover, the video embedded in the report is different from the viral clip and can be viewed here.
