Does this clip show fireworks in Dubai after India’s win Over Pakistan in Asia Cup 2025? Fact Check
Claim : Footage shows fireworks in Dubai celebrating India’s Asia Cup 2025 win over Pakistan on 28 September, 2025.
Conclusion : The claim is misleading. While India did win the match against Pakistan on 28th September 2025, at Dubai International Cricket Stadium, the footage of the fireworks is from the 26th Gulf Cup opening ceremony in Kuwait in December, 2024.

Several users across various social media platforms have claimed that fireworks illuminated the sky over Dubai International Stadium following India’s victory over Pakistan in the Asia Cup 2025. FACT CHECK
DigitEYE India decided to investigate this claim and found that the footage is false. The video actually originates from the 26th Gulf Cup opening ceremony fireworks in Kuwait, December 2024. While there were fireworks after India beat Pakistan in Asia Cup 2025 on 28th September, the footage being shared is different.
First, we conducted a web search with the phrase “fireworks after India beat Pakistan Asia Cup 2025” to get reports.
Upon conducting a reverse image search from various keyframes of the video, we landed on the original picture. For instance the US Embassy in Kuwait shared the image of the fireworks with the caption : “Can Kuwait win a record tenth Gulf Cup? Fingers crossed!” on X, which can be viewed here.

We also came across a report published by Times Kuwait on 22nd December, 2024 where the same image has been used. The title of the report read : “All square in Group A as Khaleeji Zain 26(Arabian Gulf Cup) enjoys spectacular launch. View a section of the report below –
