Tirupati Laddus Controversy: The current controversy surrounding the Tirupati laddus stems from allegations that animal fat was found in the laddus distributed at the Sri Venkateswara Temple in Tirumala. This has led to a political clash, with Andhra Pradesh’s ruling Telugu Desam Party accusing the former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s government of negligence, while Reddy’s supporters have denied the claims.

A thorough search by Digiteye India on Google revealed that this video is from August 2019, when Piyush Manush was assaulted by BJP workers after a heated argument at the BJP party office in Salem, Tamil Nadu. Several news outlets reported on the incident at the time. The viral video matches footage from that event uploaded on Youtube five years ago.
Manush had visited the BJP office in 2019 to engage in a discussion about issues such as the economy and the Kashmir crisis. The argument escalated into a violent altercation, leading to the attack. The visuals from the incident were shared on platforms like YouTube, confirming the date and circumstances.
However, Manush did comment on the laddus controversy in a video posted on September 19, 2024, with the caption: “Beef laddoo for all Hindus delivered by Perumal himself!!” However, the claim that he was assaulted for this video is false. The incident being referred occurred five years ago, long before the current Tirupati laddus row. Manush himself clarified on social media that the video being circulated is from 2019 as seen below:
