After receiving a request on its WhatsApp tipline, the Digiteye India team took it up and found the claim far from the truth. When searched after using keyframes on Google Reverse Image Search, the results showed that the video depicts not a real dinosaur but an animatronic dinosaur model, part of a promotional exhibit mounted on a vehicle in Saket Nagar, Kanpur. It also emitted pre-recorded sounds to draw public attention, showcasing a typical of commercial marketing stunt.
Reported by Amar Ujala (Kanpur Bureau), a local news report confirms that the display was on a commercial truck used for promotional purposes in Saket Nagar. When people heard the dinosaur sounds, “उमड़ी लोगों की भ़ीड” gathered out of curiosity.
